To help us grow in financial stewardship we are dusting off a class we’ve done in the past called Kingdom Stewardship! Dave Geldart, our Administrator, and I are going to tag team teach this two-part six hour class. Please join us! The big idea for this class is that there is a Kingdom. There is a King. There are subjects who are loyal to that King, especially since He Himself gave up everything for His subjects. In response to His great generosity, those subjects will steward the resources of the King for the advance of His Kingdom.
We’ll meet over two Sunday afternoons, February 26 and March 5, from 2-5pm at The Greenhouse Library (unless we have so many people we need to move to the basement which would be great!). In addition to diving into the Scriptures together we will also offer practical tools and resources to help us all take the next right step towards greater stewardship. To register for this FREE class email Ben Deaver (firstname.lastname@example.org). If the Sunday afternoon times don’t work for you please still let me know of your interest. We may be offering this class at additional times as needed. Bottom line, be in touch!
In the meantime, one of the best resources I’ve found on financial stewardship is Money, Possession, and Eternity by Randy Alcorn. This book will be recommended, though not required, reading for this course. We have these books available for $10 on our Resource Table or you can buy it on Amazon. By the way, take a moment to setup your Amazon Smile account to support New Hope Community Church.
