Incredible Week at Super Summer

Fusion Director Joe Catterson's Report

July 3, 2018

The Fusion youth just returned from an incredible week at Super Summer. Our B.L.A.S.T. team managed to come home with a gold medal for their victories in the camp games, but the true victory belongs to the LORD. While at camp, 18 students prayed to receive Christ, and one of those was a young gal, McKenzie, that came along with our group. Many of the other students also felt a deeper desire for God and His word, as they worked on developing the discipline of a quiet time at camp, some for the first time. It has been such a blessing to get to be a part of the group, and I am so thankful for the time to get to know and invest in all of the students.

It is bittersweet to think that this is the last Super Summer for our Senior boys and girls, but we know that the LORD will continue to develop them as they move on to other ministries and seasons of life. With the Seniors leaving, it is time to build up another group of student leaders, to help shepherd and inspire the younger students, but perhaps more importantly to see how God can use the older youth despite their young age. It is amazing to see what God can do in the hands of open and willing students.

1 Timothy 4:12  " Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."

Please be praying for our students that God will help them to continue to grow in a desire for His Word and His Glory.
