Regarding Sunday morning gatherings

As you know with the issues surrounding the Coronavirus hard decisions needed to be made not only for the welfare of the people of New Hope, but also our community and even beyond that. While the virus seems to perhaps not to be very dangerous to the vast majority of our church, it is very dangerous to some whom  we may spread the disease to that are more vulnerable. This is not out of a spirit of fear, but out of love that we want to care for the vulnerable, which in this case, is the elderly and those with underlying health conditions.

Therefore the elders are cancelling our Sunday gatherings through the month of March, but we are not cancelling church

As we have said, church is not a building, or an event, it is a people. So we are still planning on having LIFE Groups (your leader will let you know the plan). If you are not attending one currently, this would be a good time for you to check one out. We are also going to plan on having a video or audio feed on our website that you can hear.

Be sure to follow along for updates about small events throughout the week as the situation continues to develop. In the weeks ahead, may we follow the way of love as we seek to bring God’s presence in a culture experiencing anxiety, and to love and care for those in our community.

Let the elders or staff know if you have any questions or need any help. I personally will miss seeing you on Sunday mornings, but believe God is going to do a good work in and through us in some unexpected way.
